Midsummer Suburbs
It's a quiet midsummer evening, you're in your sh*thole apartment in LA's suburbs, it's 1992 and a hole-in-the-wall club near you is already spewing out drunk teenagers; you walk away from the tv to smoke a cigarette as you look at the sunset out of your window. The sky is beautiful this time of the year, the temperature is perfect, you feel like you're missing something in your life but you can't quite put your finger on it. It leaves you with a sense of lightheaded emptiness as you keep staring out of the window, just listening to the sound of life passing you by.
