white sheets are messy at the feet, and a few of the pillows are still on the floor. the doors to the balcony are open, you can hear the birds are chirping in the streets outside, from where the sound of people walking and laughing can be heard. The bells from Notre Dame break the silence calling for Sunday morning service, breaking the calm and startling you for a moment.
you come back inside and grab a sweater to pull over your head, as the winter morning is sunny but still cold, but then go outside again and sit in front of the two cappuccino mugs a girl brought to your room a minute ago. you open the book and start reading.
then he comes back, messy hair and wide smile, a bag with pastries from a bakery nearby he wanted to show you to complete your breakfast in his arms.
