Rainy Cab Ride
...catching a ride back to your hotel. Is someone with you? Why are you getting back so late? How are you feeling as you step in? You're soaked to the bone. The window is cracked just so, so that you can hear the outside world in your seat. The leaves rattle softly in the breeze, catching on the wet pavement. An ambulance is somewhere far away. Cars pass your cab with quiet whooshes. You tune out the sound of the cabbie's radio noise, Clair de Lune playing in your head as you gaze at the street lights, your imagination whisked away into the nighttime, your eyelids growing heavier with the time you spent adventuring today.
