Upper East Side
The Upper East Side at night is much calmer than the heart of New York City. The sirens and the crazy traffic can still be heard because the busy streets are not far away, but right by your window you only hear the occasional passing car and the calming crickets somewhere in the bushes. This calm mixed with the strife of the city is exactly what I heard out of my window when I grew up on the Upper East side. It's the perfect city lullaby.
